Bill Northey

Past Co-Chair, Conservation Infrastructure Initiative 

Bill Northey previously served as the Iowa Secretary of Agriculture from 2006 to 2014. In that role, he served as the first Co-Chair of the Conservation Infrastructure Initiative with Ray Gaesser from August 2016 through March 2018.

Northey currently serves as the Under Secretary for Farm Production and Conservation in the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Northey was nominated to the Under Secretary position by President Donald Trump in September 2017 and was sworn in March of 2018.
